A fine gilt-brass Georgian era table casket set with natural gemstones including agates and sardonyx. The open-work hand engraved brass frame backed by silk brocade board panels sits atop ball feet. The lid is bordered by a heavy cast and chased pinchbeck slike sculptural floral border. Apparently unmarked.
The gemstones are glaw set with two bezel set stones on the left and right sides of the casket.

Excellent overall condition. Some minor scuffs to fabric on inside, slight separation of panels from brass frame. Silk covered panels finely made, and glued together to one another, meaning each panel can easily removed from the brass frame of the box for future cleaning. Gemstones are all present. Lock fully functions with original key.
